wow its been a while

well a lot has happend in 18months...
reece was born and is now walking and talking up a storm...
storm is no longer a part of my church...
my church now includes paradox...
paradox has changed my life....
my life has is so much more than i ever expected it to be...
and SO much more....
no time to look back and reminise.....

Prayer Request for Mike

on wednesday may 17 mike barker was in a very serious car accident. his brothers make a blog to inform people of his improvements and to leave comments of encouragement. this is an exerpt from this blog that explains what happend...

"For those of you who do not yet heard about the accident this is what we know. They were traveling on the major highway between home a work when the driver of the truck, Cody, fell asleep and drifted across the center line narrowly avoiding a head on collision with a semi-trailer coming in the opposite direction. Once completely through the lane the driver woke up and tried to steer the truck away from the ditch. The truck then began to roll. Mike had been sleeping up to this point, reclining in his chair (buckled up). The truck rolled multiple times and came to a rest on its hood. Mike was trapped in the truck for a couple of hours. He told me today that that time upside down in the truck was the hardest experience he has ever had. He was trapped and was having major difficulty breathing. The jaws of life arrived, he was rescued and they then flew him to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.

"He is currently sleeping next to me with a tracker going from just above the ear, over the head, to just above the other ear. It is attacked to his skull and has a twenty pound weight pulling his neck straight. He will probably have to stay like this for the next several days as the swelling goes down and as they wait for the scheduled surgery.

"The biggest prayer requests right now are the following:

1. His lungs stay as stable as they are and that he doesn’t have to be on a respirator.
2. That he gains more strength in his hands and arms.


"We know that God is still with us. And that he is writing his story as we speak."

update

i was informed today that my cousin payton went to the doctor a few days ago for a check up before the surgery. the test results came back today and amazingly the severity has decreased so much with no treatment soo fast that the docter couldnt believe it. he will still need a surgery but only one not five or six as he was going to. this is so exciting! the docter has no other explaination but a miracle. in his many years of expierence he has NEVER seen this before. thank you to all those who prayed for my cousin... i greatly appreciate it as doesmy entire family.....

prayer request

i was just informed that my baby cousin payton has a heart disease call 'tetrology of fallot' below are the diagrams the one on the left is a normal heart and the one ont the right is what payton's heart looks like...

he, at a month old, will need one or more surgeries to fix this...please keep him and his parents in your prayers.... i will update this as soon as i know more

the weekend

wow what can i say that will not be an understatement..... i had the BEST birthday EVER!!!!!!11one one... it was amazing....i arrived at church for the winter blast 2006 and i was welcomed by a hundred happy birthdays from my best of friends....then when i got on the bus i received the best bday present ever.....at least in the top 3.... it was a card..... a huge card..... the best kind of cards...it had original art by the one and only tyler.....and it had a pictures of me....one picture with me in it twice....still trying to figure that one out...the front was amazing to say the least... and inside were all the happy birthday messages of everyone on the trip and even those who were unable to attend this soiree.... then i was saranaded by the boys in the back of the bus as the sang happy birthday to me!!!!1 what fun!!!....so we did the usual and went tubing which was great and andrew and i were in several duels.....i still say i could win if i were really trying.....and then the olympics themed weekend was awesome....dot dots to follow....then rebecca and i were tubing and were left behind and we were late...yes i of all people were late to something...i cant believe it myself.....but what was very dissaprointing was that i missed the passing out of my cupcaks that rachel and scott had spent four hours on....but i got to eat a couple, meaning eight, cupcakes and i got to see when there were only about 15 missing so i was able to imagine the cupcakes in all thier glory.... it was a huge and wonderful surprise that i will never forget.....it was a wonderful day!!!!!!.....it was and is a birthday that will definetely go down in my birthday history......something i will NEVER forget....thank you to all that helped this to be the best day i have had in a LONG time i am forever indebted to you....

the countdown has finally reached zero.....i cant believe that it has come.....i was so surprised to see that my mom sent me a cookie bo-que to school.....so delicious..... pictures to come....so excited i don't know what to write....it was great in laura made me a card and gave me some chocolate....yummy in my tummy....in anatomy class they sang to me and then in marketing they sang to me too but mrs.t wanted me to cluck like a chicken or flutter like a fairy....i chose the chicken....so far today has been a AMAZING day!

sos baptism babysitting

today was one of the busiest days i have had in a long time...i volunteered at storm today to be the 6th grade girls small group leader.....what a blast!....we talked and talked about all sorts of things but mainly about job and his trials and turmoils he endured and how through ALL of this he stayed faithfull and never once blamed or questioned God.....unbelievable right?....but he did it....it withstood the loss of his daughters and sons, cattle, house, wife, and his health....we stayed in group i think 30 min more then the other groups....it was an amazing experience....then right from there i went home to change to go to my cousin's baptism....it was a b-e-a-utiful....then we went back to my aunts house to eat talk and sit together and relax...right from there i went to my other cousins to babysit.....they went to bed at 830 so i was watching the super bowl and i didn't think 'when a stranger calls' effected me that much but......i heard a noise......to put it lightly it freaked me out.....it was a high pitch screeching sound....so what did i do first.....turned up the volume on the game so i wouldn't hear it.....then when it didn't stop i called my mom....i told her it was just to talk but really it was to calm my nerves....it continued for at least an hour....then i thought to myself maybe it is the wind cause it was mighty windy tonight.....but i looked out the floor to ceiling, wall to wall window and the branches weren't moving outside....that's when i really got scared.....i tried to ignore it by doing my homework but i couldn't....i called my mom again and told her that i heard something and she asked where it was coming from and i said the kitchen dining room area....she said to just go look (while on the phone with her of course) ...i said no first but then i got enough nerve and got up.....looked around and discovered......the hamster running in its wheel.....i cant believe i got so freaked over a stupid little hamster......never do that again.....didn't get home from that till 1030....finally i get to relax....then off to good ole' dreamland...i wonder what it will bring tonight.....

last night

last night tyler rachel and i went to bermingham to go to the palla-something-or-other to see when a stranger calls...well i was expecting a really scary, kara in a thunderstorm kind of movie...but instead we got a junior high mosh pit...there were so many kids there that were talking throughout the entire movie.....they were clapping when the stranger was attacking the girl and laughing when she descoverd a dead body....and to top it all off the one light that was still on in the entire theatre was right above us...total mood distroyer...anyway it was a fair movie....prolly a 4-5 on the scare scale.....but then we went to the macdonals and watched flightplan.....awesome movie....the thriller i was looking for....it was a definate 8 on the scare scale....then the ride home fun...i once again called shottie (fair and square i might add)....didnt get home till around 1215...and i had to work at 8 this morning....oh well...it was an....lets say....interesting night....(those who know what i mean must agree...yes?)...well all in all last night was fun.....

life changing prayer

so last night at revolution we talked about hannah and her dangerous prayer... it was a great message it was all about the power of God and that He can do anything.... if we pray for the right thing with our whole heart and we put the will of God before ours and if we know that His plans are bigger than we can ever imagine.....then we know that we are praying a dangerous/ risky/ life changeing prayer and that it can change the world....the effects can live on longer than you do...i dont know if you can get more hopefilled than that....

DIA friends and pictures

on sunday i got to go to the DIA with tyler, rachel, and scott, which was a BLAST!! we were going there to see an exhibit that was there but by the time we got there it was sold out...but that was ok cause we got to see the rest of the museum...and then we got tattooed by tyler and rachel (a monster eye and a pansy) weird combo i know....which either wont come off by the way...then i got to hang out with some more friends and 'patt' (matt) whom i haven't seen in a long time....which was a ton of fun.. we watched the pistons game that had ended an hour or so before hand...though we didn't get to see the last 3 minutes of the game because the tv stopped recording it..it was a good night..we won the game...and not in overtime....then i got to take some pictures with a sweet camera....i haven't taken pictures in such a long time....i remembered why i love it so much...i love capturing the true person....the picture that you are not expecting always yields the best smile....or frown......but it doesn't matter because it's real....so all in all sundaywas a great day! well this is G-18 signing off....
